Kara Lehoist(Recreational teacher)

Kara began training as a dancer at 3 years old and danced competitively for more than 15 years.


As a competitor, Kara received dozens of awards for high scoring performances, scholarships and special recognition for her part in group numbers, duets and as a soloist.


She trained at the Eastland-Fairfield Career Center’s performing arts program, has attended multiple workshops throughout Central Ohio and traveled out of state to hone her skills as an instructor at various dance conventions


Kara graduated from The Ohio State University in 2010, with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a minor in dance. Most recently, she obtained her elementary and special education teaching license from Capital University in 2011. She currently works for Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities in a special needs preschool classroom. 


Kara loves teaching students of all ages in a wide spectrum of dance styles, ranging from ballet, to jazz and tap. 

Ireland Landis(Competition and recreational teacher)

Ireland Landis has danced at Passe Dance Center since she was 3 years old. She has been dancing competitively  for 15 years.


As a competitor, she has been apart of many award winning group dances and has won numerous top overall scores and judges awards with her solos and duets. She has earned many scholarships throughout her competition career here at Passe. She has also won many awards as a choreographer for our competition team dances. 


Ireland has traveled to New York to work with the Radio City Rockettes and has attended many master classes. She performed in  Pickerington Central High School musical's All Shook Up, Aida, 9 to 5, and choreographed for 1940's Radio Hour.


Ireland loves sharing her love for dance by teaching in all forms of dance. . 

Alex Ilacqua(Competition teacher)

Alex started dancing at the age of ten and has competed with all styles of dance growing up here at Passe. 


She attended Miami University and received her B.A. in Zoology and minor in Molecular Biology. While at Miami, Alex joined Vision Dance Company as a dancer and choreographer  before later becoming president of the company. She received her M.S. in Genetic Counseling and has been back teaching here at Passe.

Alex has received several top scoring and choreography awards with her competition dances. She has attended  many master classes and has choreographed for all of our Summer Intensives.
