Kara Lehoist(Recreational teacher)
Kara began training as a dancer at 3 years old and danced competitively for more than 15 years.
As a competitor, Kara received dozens of awards for high scoring performances, scholarships and special recognition for her part in group numbers, duets and as a soloist.
She trained at the Eastland-Fairfield Career Center’s performing arts program, has attended multiple workshops throughout Central Ohio and traveled out of state to hone her skills as an instructor at various dance conventions
Kara graduated from The Ohio State University in 2010, with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a minor in dance. Most recently, she obtained her elementary and special education teaching license from Capital University in 2011. She currently works for Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities in a special needs preschool classroom.
Kara loves teaching students of all ages in a wide spectrum of dance styles, ranging from ballet, to jazz and tap.
